NFL Fantasy Live 11/18/14 with Matt Smith, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Adam Rank, Marcas Grant.  Here’s what you missed from Tuesday’s show:

  • Adrian Peterson is suspended without pay for the year, but he’s appealing the suspension.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown:  Cut him.
  • Josh Gordon is reinstated.  He was the leading fantasy WR last year despite missing two games.  Akbar has huge expectations.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown:  I have Gordon on a bunch of my teams and I’m starting him every time.  Expect double-digit production as he reconnects with Brian Hoyer.  This actually helps Hoyer’s stock as well, as he can be viewed as a to 15-17 fantasy QB with confidence.
  • Ben Tate has been waived.  Rank thinks Crowell is the guy to own in Cleveland.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: Terrence West has 31 carries over the past two weeks.  Crowell has 26.  Less than one point separates their fantasy production during that period.  I’m not confident in either, but if one of them should emerge, they are worth adding.  The Browns face a favorable schedule during the playoffs.
  • Montee Ball expected to miss 2-3 weeks.  Juwan Thompson is worthy of a handcuff.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: In the right conditions, I agree.  I’m still convinced Thompson isn’t being used properly.  I thought he was the best Broncos back in preseason.
  • Ahmad Bradshaw suffered a fractured fibula.  He’s probably out indefinitely.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: I like Trent Richardson more than most.  But that means he’s a flex play at best.
  • Larry Fitzgerald suffered an MCL sprain.  Should be good to go.  Rank noted he doesn’t have a great history against Seattle.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: I don’t like Fitzgerald regardless of injury.  John Brown, however, is one year away from being awesome.
  • Brandin Cooks expected to miss 4-6 weeks.  Rank says Kenny Stills is the guy to pick up.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown:  I agree, although my enthusiasm is limited.  Stills will pick up a few more targets but I don’t see him as a consistent double-digit performed over the course of the season.
  • Le’Veon Bell put up 28.20 fantasy points Monday Night.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: This guy is absolutely a first round pick next year. LeGarrette Blount has been released by the Steelers, so there’s one less reason to like Bell.
  • Bishop Sankey is not a start according to Akbar.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: No duh.
  • Most Targeted WRs in Week 11: Alshon Jeffery, Rueben Randle, Randall Cobb, Keenan Allen, Taylor Gabriel, Odell Beckham, Kelvin Benjamin, Andrew Hawkins, Calvin Johnson, Roddy White.
  • Backfield Opportunities (Rush Att + Targets): Jonas Gray, Le’Veon Bell, Alfred Blue, Matt Forte, Tre Mason, Mark Ingram, Jeremy Hill, Marshawn Lynch, Rashad Jennings, LeSean McCoy.
  • Waiver Wire Targets: Jonas Gray, Isaiah Crowell, Alfred Blue, C.J. Anderson, Latavius Murray, Jordan Matthews, Coby Fleener.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: Yeah, all these guys are pickup-able, except for Latavius Murray, who I never heard over.  Just assess you situation, and only pick up one of these guys if it means dropping someone you are never going to start.  Deal?
  • Marcas and Adam debated which rookie WR they trust the most.  Rank likes Beckham.  Grant likes Benjamin.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: Gun to my head, I couldn’t choose.  That’s a good thing.  Beckham, Benjamin, Evans, and Watkins are all worthy of a roster spot, so see who’s available and claim one. He’ll probably be better than your WR4.
  • Trade Targets: Alfred Morris, Tre Mason, Justin Forsett.
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: Good job, guys. I love all these trade targets.  Interesting: Akbar LOVES Gordon, but Rank sees him tanking.  I bet Gordon is a safe bet.  I have him as a WR3, so if he puts up 8 points (knowing he’s capable of more) I’m totes psyched!
  • Players To Trade Away: Terrence West, Jonas Gray, Golden Tate, Andre Ellington
    • Broadway’s Breakdown: I dunno.  I wouldn’t trade Tate.  And I know Ellington has a rough schedule, but he’s too good to part with.
