On a recent podcast I gave away one of the secrets to my success in how I craft a first round script. This information has never been available to the public… until now.

The strategy is simple, but effective. But still, I get feedback that many of you don’t get it.
Let me do the work for you. Here are what my first round scripts currently look like for Yahoo, ESPN, and NFL.com leagues. Keep in mind that I compete in 10-team leagues. HOWEVER… I was kind enough to include an 11th and 12th pick for those of you who insist on larger leagues. I must say it’s way to early to be drafting. Try to hold off for another two weeks so we can get some feedback and data from the preseason. You’re going to kick yourself when your first round pick is lost for the season on a fluke injury. That said.. here it goes…
1ST ROUND YAHOO | 1ST ROUND ESPN | 1ST ROUND NFL | |
1 | E.LACY | E.LACY | E.LACY |
2 | M.LYNCH | M.LYNCH | M.LYNCH |

Not a lot of variety, but that may change. You’ll notice Gronkowski is no where to be found. There is little data to suggest that taking a TE in the first round pays off. In the 76 leagues in which I’ve participated over the past three years, only once has a team drafting a TE in the first round gone on to lead their league in scoring.
